Removable plates are coated with PTFE, which is a widely used non-stick coating. The rear of the removable plates are uncoated and therefore can react with certain cleaning chemicals and salts.
Please be advised that cooking plates are ‘dishwasher safe’ however some discolouration may occur and is completely normal. Please refer to your instruction manual for further details.
